Townsville North Queensland Holiday and Travel Guide
The Holiday and Travel Guide is one of the primary collateral pieces used by Townsville Enterprise to market the destination. 70,000 copies of the Guide are produced and distributed annually through Visitor Information Centres, at consumer shows, to cruise ship passengers, at business and entertainment events and by local businesses. The Guide is also distributed to Inbound Tourism Operators and wholesalers at international trade shows including the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) and the ATEC Symposium. The Guide is also available for download from www.townsvilleholidays.info.
Townsville Meeting Planner
The Meeting Planner is the Townsville Enterprise Convention Bureau’s primary piece of marketing collateral. The Planner provides information on Townsville as a business events destination, includes event venues, accommodation, pre and post touring options and social activities. Townsville Enterprise Convention Bureau Members are listed in the Planner and have the opportunity to advertise in the publication.

Australian Tourism Data Warehouse
The Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) is a national tourism database that feeds information on tourism products, events and destination information to more than 50 websites. The Database houses information on accommodation, tours, attractions, events, hire and transport products.
The Region’s dedicated holidays website www.townsvilleholidays.info utilises the data housed in ATDW to populate its pages. Townsville Enterprise Members receive ATDW Membership at a discounted rate.

Edutourism Product Manual
Townsville Enterprise works with operators in the Region to attract and engage study tour groups. The Region’s reputation as a destination of excellence in education, particularly in the fields of marine and tropical sciences and environmental studies, makes it ideal for study tour groups looking to combined practical field work experience with theoretical studies.

Townsville Enterprise works to position the Townsville North Queensland Region as a desirable destination for international visitors. In 2012, Townsville Enterprise entered into a cooperative international marketing agreement with SeaLink Queensland to boost the Region’s profile in targeted overseas markets. SeaLink has significant representation in New Zealand, Europe, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Japan, China and Korea. This partnership will ensure the Townsville North Queensland Region has the opportunity to leverage off these links to open up opportunities for increased international exposure and trade. The partnership included the formation of an international marketing group comprising of commercial operators from the Region who are international ready.
