We're encouraging North Queensland businesses to share information about being back to business, so we can host this information on our website and social media channels for Townsville North Queensland.
A message from Townsville Enterprise CEO, Claudia Brumme-Smith
Firstly, well done to our Townsville North Queensland community who prepared well, and have weathered the rain event over the last few days. North Queenslanders are a resilient bunch, and I'm proud to see the mateship synonymous with this region shining through yet again.
While it's still early days and many hurdles ahead, our focus is now shifting to getting our North Queensland business community, and our tourism industry, back to business soon as possible - acknowledging that safety always comes first.
With so many small businesses in our region, these owner/operator businesses have already felt the financial pinch of this weather event. With the immediate effects of the rain event felt right across our North Queensland region, the region is recovering not only from the flooding impacts, but also from the reputation damage of coverage in our southern tourism source markets.
We acknowledge that there are still many in our community who are impacted, or yet to return to their homes, so we are not ready to welcome visitors back just yet, but we are preparing ahead. We're seeking information to share that North Queensland is OPEN for business. To help us share this message outside of the region, we need you.
Simply, complete the fields below and include information about:
Your information will be hosted on townsvillenorthqueensland.com.au on a dedicated landing page which will be shared with guests and consumers from within and outside our region.
