Federal delegation - Advocacy in action

In preparation for the upcoming Federal election, Townsville Enterprise organised a delegation to meet with current Federal Ministers and Opposition party leaders to advocate for key priorities and projects to secure the future of Townsville North Queensland.

With the weather changing plans, and to ensure our team could remain on ground to support with recovery initiatives, the Federal Delegation went ahead as planned pivoting to online meetings with those in Canberra.

Highlighting key projects across North Queensland, our emphasis shifted to prioritise initiatives and funding asks that support flood recovery and resilience.

In line with the diversity of our region's economy, the week of meetings saw us engaging with a variety of representatives from the departments, senior advisors and Ministers including:
