Delivering exceptional transformational experiences creates positive word of mouth recommendations for the destination which will attract more visitors, and increase their expenditure.

Businesses who successfully undertake this program become eligible to be featured in Queensland marketing campaigns, and eligible for TEQ’s free business development program: the Transformational Experiences Mentoring Program. 

This annual program identifies quality Queensland tourism businesses based on consumer expectations and industry best practice.

The program provides a score out of 100 based on the following (not all are required):

  • Consistent delivery of an exceptional experience based on positive customer reviews (pulled from all review websites by ReviewPro(60 points) 
  • Having a website with a secure booking platform (15 points) 
  • Having an active and engaging social media presence (15 points) 
  • Being a member of your regional tourism organisation (Townsville Enterprise) (5 points) 
  • Being accredited (5 points) 

All participants receive a personalised report with valuable insights into consumer perceptions of the experience they offer to support improved business performance.
