Billabong Sanctuary

Billabong Sanctuary is Australia's best interactive wildlife experience. The experience is like walking through the Australian bush with 3 habitats of wetlands, eucalypt forest and rainforest with animals and birds displayed in their natural habitats. The Sanctuary is involved in captive breeding programs for the endangered Southern cassowary and the Greater bilby and enjoys Advanced Ecotourism Accreditation for our work with conservation and education of our visitors. The Sanctuary is fully accredited with animal welfare through the Zoo and Aquarium Association. Billabong Sanctuary provides great value for money with many free-of-charge interactive animal experiences such as holding a crocodile, a python and a lizard. Wildlife talks are held throughout the day when rangers talk on the unique characteristics of Australian animals and how to safely view them in the wild.
